Record is Hashed
When a safety record is created, TASC computes a unique SHA-256 fingerprint of the record data. Even a single character change produces a completely different fingerprint.

Grouped into a Merkle Tree
Each day, all record fingerprints are organised into a Merkle tree — a cryptographic structure where a single "root" summarises all records from that day.

Anchored on Polygon Blockchain
When anchoring is active, a Merkle root is published to the Polygon PoS blockchain through a smart contract. The on-chain entry is intended to be append-only, while TASC records, proofs, access, and external network availability remain subject to their respective systems.

Independent Verification
To verify integrity, TASC re-checks the submitted record hash against the available Merkle proof and, where confirmed, the on-chain root. A match concerns integrity since hashing; it does not prove the underlying statement is true.
